The MacNaught History Centre and Archives are seeking volunteers to gather information about the men of the C Company, whose names are listed in this publication. Also, any descendants are invited to submit photographs or documents that can be used in the compilation of data for a historical resource that will be available for the public.
Several radio dramas were produced by Wyatt Heritage Properties Inc. in 2011 as part of the annual Storytelling Festival. The stories, complete with sound effects, are based on true accounts of Island history that listeners will find entertaining and educational.
The Open Suitcase Series was developed around subject matter in the Island school curriculum and requests from teachers for classroom speakers. The different programs can be used in two ways: viewing the written material online, and by borrowing one of the program suitcases which contain not only the written material but a number of hands on resources. The suitcases can be borrowed free of charge for several weeks by calling the programming office at 432-1298.
