The C Company of this battalion was quartered in Summerside, PE, where hundreds of soldiers recruited from Prince County were sent to train. The men lived and trained in Summerside for several months before leaving in June of 1916 for England. Of the 441 men enlisted in the 105th Battalion, 78 men lost their lives overseas.
