New Exhibit “A Bit of Everything”

“Gallerie La Palette” – La Palette Artist Gallery
Sixty Days of Fame Exhibit
MacNaught History Centre and Archives
April 2nd to May 30th

New Art Exhibit

“A Bit of Everything” is the exhibit name La Palette Artist Gallery chose for their Sixty Days of Fame exhibit. It suits.  Fourteen artists with diverse artistic styles are participating in the sixty day exhibit. Painting is the genre that dominates. The subject matter is a varied portrayal of the Island. Each work inspires.

Five years ago a group of artists from the Evangeline area created the “Gallerie La Palette” when the musical village opened in Abram Village. Twenty artists, mostly of Acadian background, offer works in art, photography and sculpture. The Gallery in Abram Village is open only in the summer months so the MacNaught show is an opportunity to enjoy a spring venue, as they prepare to welcome the upcoming summer Congress Mondial Acadien. People of Acadian descent from all over will be coming to visit the area and enjoy the music and culture of the first Acadian settlers.

A Meeting the Artists opening is planned for Saturday, April 6th from 2 to 4 pm.

A Bit of Everything can be viewed daily, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm until the end of May. MacNaught History Centre and Archives is located at 75 Spring Street in Summerside.
