Would you like to volunteer? We have diverse programs and appreciate the skill, talent, and energy offered by volunteers. Here you will find many opportunities to guide and encourage healthy growth and development of heritage, art and culture in our community. We have volunteers who help on a regular basis and others who are available for special events. Volunteering can be as simple as "catching up on old news" by recording information from 160 years worth of local newspapers. Or it can be as complex as taking the lead role in an historic vignette. Sometimes volunteering requires physical effort too, helping you stay healthy. We anticipate that you will find volunteering fun and rewarding and invite you to use your current skills and develop new ones.

Summer Job Opportunities
Every season we hire high school and university students for seasonal employment. We offer the opportunity to work in an environment characterized by passion for heritage, arts and culture. Positions are principally for museum interpreters hired with the financial assistance of Young Canada Works or other government programs. If you would like to broaden your career horizons to include heritage and culture, contact the Cultural Properties Assistant.
